Everton signed hot prospect Shani Tarashaj from Grasshoppers in January 2016.
The forward had captured plenty of attention in Switzerland, notching eight times for this club before the Blues pounced.
A Swiss Under-21 international, Tarashaj had also scored for his country against England in November 2015.
Aged just 20 when switching to Goodison, he signed a four-and-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
He was loaned back to Grasshopper for the remainder of the 2015/16 season, a condition of the transfer which allowed him to complete his national service.
He scored three more times in the second half of the campaign and this form earned him a senior international debut in March 2016.
Tarashaj was included in Switzerland’s squad for Euro 2016. He made one appearance at the tournament as a late substitute in the second group game against Romania.
On 31 August 2016, he joined Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.
In July 2018, Tarashaj rejoined former club Grasshoppers on loan for the 2018/19 campaign.
Contracted until: June 2020.
