Everton snapped up highly-rated striker Simone Magill in March 2013 ahead of the inaugural Women's Super League season. The then 18-year-old had caught the eye after netting 18 goals in the Northern Irish Premier Division with Mid-Ulster as well as her international endeavours.

Having come through the ranks, she captained Northern Ireland's Under-19s to the European Championships, and made her senior bow in 2010 aged just 15. She is now closing in on 50 caps for her country.

Magill also boasts the world record for the fastest ever goal at international level, having found the net after just 11 seconds of an European Qualifying match against Georgia, beating the previous record of 12 seconds by USA's Alex Morgan.

She appeared in the 2014 FA Women's Cup final and became a regular source of goals for Andy Spence's side. However, injury saw her miss much of the 2016 WSL campaign but she returned in style a year later in the Spring Series, notching five goals in seven games.
