Sam Byrne arrived at Finch Farm on a free transfer in July 2014, having left Manchester United's academy after three years with the Red Devils.
A Republic of Ireland Under-19 international with seven goals in 10 outings prior to his Goodison arrival, the Dublin-born striker also spent 13 games on loan at League One Carlisle United in 2013/14, scoring once.
That experience proved vital as the youngster set about trying to make an impression for David Unsworth's Under-21s and, cruelly, he was in his best form since joining the Blues when he suffered a broken leg in a freak training ground accident in March 2016 that forced him into an extended spell on the sidelines.
Since arriving at Everton, Sam picked up Republic of Ireland caps at Under-21 level.
Byrne left the Club in June 2018 after his contract expired.
