Profile

Rachel Brown-Finnis is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the country.

She has a great prescence in the box and communicates with the defence well. Fearless and brave, Rachel is an established England international and has over 70 caps for the Three Lions.

The Burnley-born stopper was just 17 years old when she made her senior debut for England, having already played eight times for England's under-18s.

Rachel was first choice shot stopper for England at the Women's World Cup in China 2007 and played in the quarter-final against the USA.

Unfortunately for Rachel she missed the majority of the 2007/08 season, including the League Cup final, following surgery to cure a long-standing knee problem.

Rachel remained Everton's number one in the 2008/09 campaign, and in May she was one of the first female England internationals to be awarded a central contract by the FA.

She was also a member of the Blues' 2010 FA Women's Cup winning side.

Rachel was replaced by Karen Bardsley as first choice keeper for England for the 2011 Women's World Cup in Germany, and didn't feature in their run to the quarter-finals.

Rachel remained Mo Marley's first choice stopper for the start of the inaugural FA Women's Super League in April 2011.

Brown-Finnis was named in the Great Britain squad for the 2012 London Olympics and England 2013 European Championship squad.
