She had previously been playing in Iceland with Breiðablik, having linked up with them in July 2016 following the conclusion of her college career in the United States.

Attending the University of South Florida, she netted 31 goals in 79 appearances for their team, the South Florida Bulls.

Born in Tauranga, a city on the north island of New Zealand, Chance made her senior international debut against the Netherlands during the 2011 Cyprus Cup.

She made nine appearances, mostly from the bench, during Everton's Spring Series campaign in 2017, but still managed to score twice, with long-range strikes against Doncaster and Watford, adding to her brace on her debut against Brighouse Town in the FA Women's Cup.

Chance returned to the international fold with New Zealand during the 2017/18 campaign, featuring on their tour to Thailand and in their double-header against Scotland.

Domestically she enjoyed regular football in the centre of midfield in that season until picking up a serious knee injury against Reading in April 2017.
