Having come through the ranks at Everton, Michelle Hinnigan has become captain of the Blue Girls and an integral member of the squad.
The midfielder was thrown into the spotlight during the 2007/08 campaign due to a number of injuries to first-team regulars and thrived, regularly in and around the team. She rewarded with international recognition with England at Under 17 and 20 levels.
Hinnigan attended Loughborough University on the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme, and went on to captain Team GB Women to a Gold Medal in the World University Games in 2013.
Back at Everton, she started the 2010 FA Cup final in which the Blue Girls saw off Arsenal in added time, then captained the side to the 2014 final.
Hinnigan, along with Fern Whelan, lifted further silverware in 2017 when the Toffees won the one-off WSL 2 Spring Series, and remains an experienced head in Andy Spence's young side.
