Lifelong Evertonian Morgan Feeney has been with the Blues since the age of seven, having previously spent time at neighbours Liverpool.

Strong in the tackle and in the air, coach David Unsworth described Feeney as "from the Dave Watson school of defending".

Turning 18, the Bootle-born defender was one of the youngest members of Unsworth's Under-23s squad that lifted the Premier League 2 title in 2016/17.

After being handed the captaincy of the young Blues for the 2017/18 season, Feeney's performance levels elevated even further.
The defender - who still retains his Season Ticket in the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street - saw his impressive displays rewarded when he realised a lifelong dream on 23 November 2017, making his senior debut when coming on as a substitute in the Europa League clash against Atalanta.

Two weeks later, Feeney earned his maiden first-team start in Everton's 3-0 Europa League group stage victory against Apollon Limassol in Cyprus. And in December 2017, he was rewarded for his progress by penning a new two-and-a-half-year deal with the Club.

Feeney's season was cut short in March as he underwent surgery to correct a long-standing knee problem.

The centre-back was rewarded for an outstanding campaign, however, as he won the Under-23s Player of the Season prize at Everton's End of Season awards.

Feeney is expected to return to full training in the summer.

Contracted until: June 2020
