Liam Walsh is a central midfielder who is comfortable on the ball with a great range of passing and is dangerous from set-piece situations.

He was just five years old when he joined Everton and scooped the Club’s 2013/14 Academy Goal of the Season award for a well-rehearsed strike for the Under-16s side in a fixture away at Manchester United.

Walsh, who names Xavi as his role model, is eligible to play for both England and Italy.

He spent the second half of the 2015/16 campaign on loan at Yeovil Town, playing 17 games and scoring one goal in a productive spell with the Glovers.

Walsh then returned to the Blues for the 2016/17 season and played a vital role in midfield, chipping in with six goals, as David Unsworth's side secured the Premier League 2 title.

He was named Premier League 2 Player of the Month in February 2017 for a number of outstanding performances and was also shortlisted for the league's Player of the Year award.

Walsh joined Championship side Birmingham City on loan at the start of the 2017/18 season, before returning to the Blues in November 2017.

Contracted until: June 2019
