Leandro Rodriguez joined Everton from River Plate Montevideo in the final week of the 2015 summer transfer window.
The young striker arrived in the Premier League after scoring 19 goals in 71 appearances in the Uruguayan top division.
Moving to Everton at the age of 22, Rodriguez had spent his entire senior career with River Plate before making the switch to Goodison Park for an undisclosed fee.
In putting pen-to-paper on a four-year contract, he became the first Uruguayan player to sign for the Club.
Rodriguez, who has dual Italian nationality, netted nine league goals during 2014/15 – his final season playing in South America before moving to Merseyside.
Having featured predominantly for the Under-21s, Rodriguez made his first-team debut as a late substitute in a FA Cup third-round win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
In March 2016, he joined Brentford on loan for month in order to gain further senior experience, playing twice for the Bees during his spell in the Championship.
