Everton completed the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Sheffield United on transfer deadline day in August 2016.

Calvert-Lewin penned a four-year deal and joined for an undisclosed fee, linking up with the Club's Under-23s and gradually maturing into one of Everton's most influential attackers.

His explosive start to 2020/21, scoring 10 goals in seven matches, saw Calvert-Lewin gain full England honours. The player's opening seven caps yielded four goals before a call into manger Gareth Southgate's squad for the summer European Championship, where Calvert-Lewin appeared twice from the bench.

Calvert-Lewin finished the season with 21 Everton goals and was a double-winner at the Club's end-of-season awards, claiming the blue-riband Players' Player and Player of the Season prizes.

Injury thwarted Calvert-Lewin's bid to sustain momentum the following term. He started with three goals from the same number of matches but was sidelined for the remainder of the calendar year.

Calvert-Lewin featured intermittently following the turn of the year and summoned a formidable display for Everton's closing home match, capping an archetypal centre-forward's performance with the winning goal in a come-from-behind victory over Crystal Palace that secured the Club's Premier League status.

He claimed the fabled Everton number 9 jersey prior to 2019/20 and duly finished locked together with Richarlison on 13 Premier League goals – and 15 in all competitions – to split leading-marksman honours.

The striker's progress was recognised at the back end of that season when he put pen to paper on a new five-year contract.

Calvert-Lewin struck eight times during 2018/19 and in the season's closing months emerged as the first-choice forward for then manager Marco Silva, starting 10 of Everton's final 11 top-flight games. His run of starting appearances coincided with an excellent period for the Blues, which included wins over Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Born in Sheffield, Calvert-Lewin came through the ranks at hometown club Sheffield United, making his senior debut in a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient in April 2015.

The following August, he joined Northampton Town on loan and scored eight goals in 26 appearances for the League Two team.

Calvert-Lewin made two outings for the Blades in 2016/17 before finalising his move to Goodison Park.

After several fine performances and five goals for the Under-23s, then-manager Ronald Koeman handed Calvert-Lewin his first taste of Premier League action during a memorable 2-1 victory over Arsenal under the floodlights in December 2016.

Calvert-Lewin's first start - against Southampton - soon followed but his involvement was cut short when he suffered ankle ligament damage and was forced off after just 12 minutes.

Following more than two months on the sidelines, the attacker came straight back into the First-Team fold and netted his maiden Everton goal in a 4-0 win over Hull City.

Calvert-Lewin scored the winning goal for England against Venezuela in the Under-20 World Cup final in summer 2017, before making an exceptional start to the 2017/18 campaign, delivering a succession of powerful and skilful performances in the Toffees attack.

Indeed, the season would prove a breakthrough campaign for Calvert-Lewin. He made the most appearances of any Everton outfield player (44) and scored eight times.

His ability as a creative force, meanwhile, was highlighted by his six assists during the season - the highest number of any Blues player.

Calvert-Lewin collected 17 England Under-21 caps and scored seven goals following a debut in September 2017, barely three months after his World Cup-winning goal in South Korea.

The appointment of caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson in December 2019 prompted a scoring burst from Calvert-Lewin, whose two goals against Chelsea in Ferguson's first match in charge of Everton ushered in a spell of 10 in 13 league games.

And in March 2020, Calvert-Lewin agreed that deal to keep him at Everton until at least summer 2025.

Contracted until: June 2025
