Dennis Adeniran

Everton completed the signing of England Under-18 midfielder Dennis Adeniran from Fulham on deadline day of the 2017 summer transfer window.

After making an impressive start for the Blues' Under-23 side Adeniran saw his debut season curtailed by injury.

It was a cruel blow for a player boss David Unsworth said "was flying" but, having made a full recovery, Adeniran swiftly re-engaged top gear in the 2018/19 campaign - producing a series of combative and energetic displays in the middle of the park to help Unsworth's side complete a league and cup double success.

Adeniran was also one of the young Blues' standout performers the following season - his combination of skill, power and dribbling ability helping drive his team forward.

He displayed a measure of versatility, operating from wide midfield positions on several occasions and doing so with distinction.

In his time at Fulham, Adeniran made five appearances for the Cottagers’ first team and scored on his professional debut in a League Cup match at Leyton Orient in 2016.

He played for England at the European Under-17 Championship in the same year, when the Young Lions reached the quarter finals.

The Londoner joined Fulham as a 12-year-old and was promptly converted from a striker to a central midfielder.

Adeniran did not lose his nose for goal, however. In addition to his first-team strike, he scored five times for Fulham’s Under-23s in 2016/17.

The midfielder played a part in Everton's First-Team pre-season preparations during summer 2020 and, in September of that year, completed a loan switch to Championship Wycombe Wanderers where he started 19 games and came off the bench three times.

Contracted until: June 2021
