Callum Connolly inked his first professional contract in July 2015 - and followed it up with a Premier League debut nine months later.

The Litherland-born youngster was called upon from the bench when Everton locked horns with Southampton in April 2016.

He played the final half-hour at right-back when Seamus Coleman limped off injured.

Versatility is one of Connolly’s main attributes. He can play anywhere across the back-line and in central midfield.

He also possesses an eye for goal - he scored an impressive seven time for Everton Under-21s in 2015/16.

In July 2015, Connolly signed his first professional contract at the Club he has been associated with since the age of nine, keeping him at the Club until the end of 2016/17.

He enjoyed a productive 2015/16 season with David Unsworth's Under-21 side, scoring seven goals from a number of different defensive positions.

Connolly's first taste of senior experience came in a month-long stint at Barnsley in March 2016, before returning from his loan spell to be given his Everton first-team bow as a 54th-minute substitute in the 1-1 draw with Southampton.

The lifelong Evertonian signed a contract extension in July 2016, keeping him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2019.
