Profile
Stats

Joining from Woolwich Arsenal in 1908, Bert Freeman in his first full season with the Blues set a new Club record at the time, scoring 38 goals in 37 league games as Everton finished runners-up to Newcastle. He was the first Everton player to hit over 30 goals in a season and with that he was the First Division top scorer for the 1914/15 campaign.

Freeman was a gifted and skilful player who was full of running and had a powerful shot, these attributes helped him to score six hat-tricks in his Everton career – only Bobby Parker and Dixie Dean have managed more than that.

Throughout his Everton career, Freeman scored 67 goals for the Club in 94 appearances, but he was at Goodison for just two full seasons – top-scoring in both – before the goals dried up and, after just two goals in 11 appearances in 1910/11 he left for Burnley in 1911.
