Beni Baningime joined Everton's Academy at the age of nine.

Born in Kinshasa, Congo, the central midfielder is also eligible to represent England.

He captained the Under-18s to Dallas Cup glory in 2015/16, before continuing to impress for Kevin Sheedy's side a year later.

Baningime, a defensive midfielder, was also handed his Under-23s debut in 2016/17 and became a regular in David Unsworth's Premier League 2 title-winning side.

At the end of the 2016/17 campaign, he scooped the prestigious Keith Tamlin award, named after the Club’s Vice Life President, for his excellence, attitude and application during their time spent in the Academy.

In October 2017 Baningime signed a new contract keeping him with the Blues until 2020 and a couple of weeks later made his professional debut in a League Cup game at Chelsea.
