He captained the Under-18s to Dallas Cup glory in 2015/16, before continuing to shine for Kevin Sheedy's side a year later.

Baningime, an defensive midfielder, was also handed his Under-23s debut in 2016/17 and became a regular in David Unsworth's Premier League 2 title-winning side.

At the end of the 2016/17 campaign, he scooped the prestigious Keith Tamlin award, named after the Club’s Vice Life President, for his excellence, attitude and application during their time spent in the Academy.

In October 2017, Baningime made his professional debut in a League Cup game at Chelsea. He would go on to make a further 11 appearances for the first-team in 2017/18 - impressing with his infectious energy, incisive passing and ability to break up play.

The Academy graduate's all-action performances saw him rewarded with a new four-year contract in May 2018.
