Tony Cottee
  • Born: 11/07/1965
  • Birthplace: Plaistow
  • Nationality: English
  • Debut: 27/08/1988 v Newcastle (H)
  • A former England international and British record transfer signing, Cottee scored 28 goals in 68 Premiership games for Everton before heading back to his first club - and boyhood favourites - West Ham United.

He left Upton Park for a second time in 1996, taking in a brief sojourn in Malaysian football before joining Leicester City.

On leaving the top flight three years later, Cottee became one of the few players to feature in all four English professional divisions in one season. He left Premiership Leicester for Division One Norwich City in September 2000, before joining Barnet as player-manager two months later.

After his dismissal as Bees boss in March 2001 - having taken them from promotion candidates to the brink of relegation - he put on his boots once again, joining Millwall.

Having retired in the summer of 2001, he became coach for the strikers at Leyton Orient under former West Ham team-mate Paul Brush. Now, he earns a crust as a regular pundit on British satellite television.
