The Ormskirk-born central midfielder featured regularly for the Blues' Under-16s during the 2010/11 season, and also made a handful of appearances for Everton's Under-18s towards the end of the term.
He made his debut at that level in April 2011, coming on as a half-time substitute against Sheffield United in the Premier Academy League, and made his first start against Sunderland a week later.
The youngster also featured in the Blues' Premier Academy League play-off semi-final against Aston Villa, and was an unused substitute in the final against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
He cites his passing ability and physical strength as his main attributes.
