The defensive midfielder began his career at Norwegian side Stabaek and established himself as a regular in the Swedish national side with eye catching performances in the 2002 World and 2004 European Championships.
A host of clubs were chasing Tobias' signature but he opted to join Everton at the turn of 2002.
His career at Goodison had plenty of ups and downs and eventually he moved to FC Copenhagen on a free transfer during the summer of 2004.
After three seasons in Denmark, Tobias headed for Turkey and spent another three years with Galatasaray before calling time on his playing career in 2010.
