Striker Scott joined Everton from Oldham Athletic in 2006 but failed to make a first-team breakthrough.
After loan spells at Yeovil and Macclesfield Town, he made a permanent switch to Rochdale in 2009.
He has since turned out for Southend United, Lincoln City and Hyde.
