The Liverpool-born striker partnered Wayne Rooney during Everton's excellent FA Youth Cup run of 2002 as the young Blues reached the final.
A double hernia problem blighted his progress for the majority of the 2002/03 season and other injuries led to to him being released by the Club and signing for Bradford City in 2004.
After joining the Yorkshire club, Michael was loaned out to Stockport County and Shrewsbury Town, a side he eventually switched to on a permanent basis.
The striker has since turned out for a number of Football League clubs, including Macclesfield Town, Bournemouth and Accrington Stanley.
