Kirkby-born Jamie was handed a one-year professional contract at the end of the 2006/2007 season after impressing with his performances for the Under-18 side as well as in a number of appearances for the reserves.

Unfortunately for Jamie, a broken hand saw his chances limited and he was released at the end of the following campaign. 

He soon joined Leyton Orient and has since established himself as the club's first-choice stopper.
