James Wallace joined the Academy set-up at 13 and in 2008 was made a full-time scholar.
The goalscoring midfielder is comfortable in possession and has impressed in his time at Everton.
So much so, that just months after signing a full-time contract with the Everton Academy, Wallace was called into the Everton first team for the pre-season friendly clash with PSV Eindhoven in August 2008 - making a late substitute appearance.
Indeed, he trained with the first team for much of the 2008/09 season and was a regular on the substitutes bench throughout the campaign.
He was also one of the reserves' most consistent performers and this was rewarded with a first team debut in August 2009 when he came on as a sub in the Europa League game at Sigma Olomouc.
James then underwent surgery on a double hernia problem and was sidelined until 2010.
He returned and was soon back in the reserve team fold before making a couple of substitute appearances for the first team during pre-season.
