Glasgow-born James joined Everton ahead of the 2005/2006 season, but suffered a serious knee injury that caused him to miss virtually all of that term.

Now recovered, James was handed a professional contract with the Blues in 2007. An attacking midfielder and comfortable on the ball, James is looking to make up for lost time.

But another setback saw him miss the entire 2008/09 campaign.
