Eddy Bosnar was signed by David Moyes from Bundesliga side Sturm Graz on a free transfer after a short trial-period with the Blues.

The Australian defender made 53 Bundesliga appearances for Sturm in 2001.

Bosnar began his career with Australian side Northern Spirit before moving to Sydney United and then on to Croatian side NK Dinamo Zagreb.

The youngster was unlucky with injuries during his time at Goodison and left the Club in July 2005 to join Dynamo Zagreb without making an appearance for the Blues.
