The Liverpool-born stopper made her senior debut at the age of 15, although primarily an understudy to first-choice club and England keeper Rachel Brown, she took over when Brown underwent knee surgery during the 2007-08 season. She played in the Blues' League Cup Final win over Arsenal and earned her first call-up to the senior England squad later that year.

Hill left the Blues to join Blackburn Rovers Ladies in the 2008 close season. However, in only her second game for the club she suffered cruciate ligament damage and missed the remainder of the campaign.

In September 2010 Hill re-signed for Everton and was named in the 2010/11 Women's Champions League squad, and is also a part of the Blues' 2011 FA WSL squad.

Hill has represented England under-17, under-19 and under-23 levels.
