Dan Gosling signed for the Blues during the 2008 January transfer window, but sprang to notoriety in February 2009 with a dramatic FA Cup winner against Liverpool.
The youngster arrived on Merseyside from Plymouth Argyle, having made his debut for the Pilgrims aged just 16.
Right-sided Gosling can play both in defence and midfield and has been involved with the England under 17 and under 18 sides.
Touted by David Moyes as one for the future, Gosling slotted well into Andy Holden's reserve side and was soon training with the first team.
He was an unused substitute for the Uefa Cup against Fiorentina in Italy and also occupied the bench on the final day against Newcastle.
His first-team chance finally came against Middlesbrough on Boxing Day 2008 and he scored his first senior goal just two days later in a 3-0 romp against Sunderland.
Further cameos followed but it was his 118th-minute winner in an FA Cup fourth round replay against Liverpool which truly brought his name to the fore - sealing his place in Everton folklore in the process.
Gosling scored again against Manchester City before the season was out and also made a brief substitute appearance in the FA Cup final.
He remained a part of the first team squad, deputising at right back on several occasions and grabbing a couple of goals before sustaining a hamstring injury in December 2009 that kept him out until the new year.
Dan is sponsored for the 2009/10 by Clarke Motorcycles.
