Carlo joined Everton on transfer deadline day in September 2008.
At 35 the goalkeeper brings a wealth of experience to David Moyes' side.
Beginning his career in non-league football, with Rossendale United, Nash progressed through the Football League, enjoying a successful three-year spell with Stockport County before joining Manchester City.
The stopper went on to make 38 appearances for the Citizens, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League.
He went on to play for Middlesbrough and Reading - where he kept a club record 24 clean sheets in one season - before returning to the top flight with Wigan.
In March this year, Carlo joined Stoke City on an emergency loan, helping the Potters secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.
He joined Everton from Wigan on a 2-year deal with an option for a further year.
Nash provided back up for the imperious Tim Howard, but wasn't able to play a single minute of first team football in his first season.
That changed in December 2009 when he was handed a start in the Europa League dead rubber against BATE Borisov.
