Everton secured the signing of Costa Rica international Bryan Oviedo on deadline day in August 2012.
Oviedo, a versatile left-sided player, joined from Danish side FC Copenhagen for an undisclosed fee.
He signed a four-year contract at Everton, bringing the flexibility to play in defence and midfield to the Blues squad.
Oviedo played for Deportivo Saprissa in his home country before being spotted playing for Costa Rica's Under-20s in the 2009 World Cup.
His performances there caught the eye of Copenhagen scouts and he switched to the Danish capital in January 2010. They loaned him out to FC Nordsjaelland for the 2010/11 season, where he won the Danish Cup.
The following season he was back with his parent club and became a regular starter, helping them win the same competition.
By this time he had become a senior international, making his debut in a 3-2 defeat to Argentina. His first international goal came in February 2010 against Columbia.
Oviedo had racked up 13 caps when he switched to Everton.
Contracted until: June 2016.
