No Becks In All-Star Squad
David Beckham not named in final MLS All-Star squad to face Everton.
David Beckham has not been named in the final MLS All-Star squad to face Everton next Wednesday.
The All-Stars’ head coach Dominic Kinnear has added a further six players to complete an 18-man squad to take on the Blues in Salt Lake City, and the LA Galaxy midfielder has not been included.
Kinnear, who is also head coach of MLS side Houston Dynamo, has called upon three of his club’s players for the clash. Pat Onstad has been selected as the squad’s second goalkeeper, with team mates Brad Davis and Brian Ching also making the cut.
Seattle Sounders’ Jhon Kennedy Hurtado completes the defence, while Kansas City Wizard’s Davy Arnaud and Seattle striker Fredy Montero have also been called up.
The match will be the 14th annual MLS All-Star game. Chelsea, West Ham, Fulham and Celtic have all provided opposition in recent seasons but no British side has ever won the event.
evertonTV is the only place to catch all the action from the Blues’ pre-season tour to America, plus LIVE match coverage of the games against Argentine giants River Plate and the MLS All-Stars.
