View articlesSunday's victory over Arsenal returned Everton to sixth place in the Premiership.
With just eight games left to play, the Blues are one point behind Bolton and one point ahead of Tottenham.
The battle is certainly on for European qualification, with Blackburn, Portsmouth and Reading still very much in the running.
Tottenham may have won each of their last four Premiership games - including the 2-1 success at Goodison - but the Blues are also one of the league's form teams.
Just eight defeats all season - two in the last 12 matches - is a record comparable with fourth placed Liverpool.
Indeed, no side outside the top four has lost fewer games, conceded fewer goals or can boast such an impressive goal difference.
Will that prove the key to Europe?
Where will Everton finish, where will the crucial points come from and can Everton improve on last season's ill-fated European adventure should they qualify?
The Blues have still got to go to Bolton, but are Tottenham the biggest threat?
Will Everton benefit from having no other competition to distract them or is it beneficial to be playing more regularly?
