Steven Pienaar has finally ended the uncertainty surrounding his future by agreeing to join Everton on a permanent transfer.

The South African will sign a three-year deal that ties him to Goodison until July 2011.

 

The Toffees have confirmed the £2m signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Steven Pienaar.

 

Everton have been linked with Zenit St Petersburg’s Russia captain Andrei Arshavin and CSKA Moscow’s Brazilian midfielder Dudu. Manager David Moyes made a scouting trip last week to see Saturn take on Zenit and CSKA versus Lokomotiv Moscow.

 

Tim Cahill is due to arrive in Australia today for surgery on the metatarsal problem that has restricted him to only 49 appearances for Everton in the past 2 seasons.
