View articlesThe focus of our remaining games seems to be entirely on the 207th Merseyside derby at Anfield next week.
But, whilst there is no doubt the match is a crunch game for both sides, it is far from decisive. There will still be six points and 18 games left to playfor after the Anfield encounter. And at this stage of the season ther are always unexpected results being thrown up.
That is why there should not be an over-reaction after the Fulham contest. It is a disappointing reverse, but this weekend we have the opportunity to restore our points parity with Liverpool prior to their tough awayday at Old Trafford.
We have to focus on our own game and make sure we do our job against the Hammers - because the odds suggest Liverpool will depart Manchester with nothing.
If things don't go according to the formbook, then that is football. But all David Moyes and his men can focus on is making sure they do their side of the job and maintain the winning habit that has been present since our last derby contest.
But even after the derby weekend, Liverpool must contend with an away trip to Arsenal. And with so many sides also still involved in the battle for survival, no game is going to be predictable.
We showed that at Fulham last weekend. But other sides will show that as well. The key now is ensuring Fulham was a one-off.
Most importantly, though, we need to keep the faith!
