So the first week of another pre-season is upon us.

The flags, banners, horns and heartache of Wembley seem a lifetime ago and the enduring wait for a football fix is finally over.

Just yesterday the players reported back to Finch Farm, yet already it feels like so much has happened.

The signing of German starlet Shkodran Mustafi has been officially announced, while the Club has revealed discussions with Manchester City over a potential second loan deal for Jo are on-going.

The squad have also travelled to Scotland to be put through their paces ahead of Friday's friendly against Bury.

And that means evertonfc.com and evertonTV have made the journey north as well.

So often the word 'banter' is heard uttered by the players of this Club - the collective ganging up of one group on an individual. All in the name of fun, of course.

As ever, pre-season, day-one, meant our turn to play the victim. Already evertonfc.com has had to infiltrate the living space of Messrs Hibbert and Osman (aka The Usual Suspects) to retrieve a 'borrowed' laptop charger.

Harmless and, in all fairness, quite funny.

Battery now recharged we'll be doing our utmost over the coming days to keep you - the fans - up-to-date with all the goings on north of the border.
