View articlesWe're now fully installed in our Sydney base and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Everton squad.
As this blog is being written, David Moyes and his players and staff are in the air on their way Down Under.
They are following the same path the evertonfc.com team took a day earlier, and the marathon journey does throw up a few problems.
Deciding when to sleep, when to stay awake and when to eat proved a bit of a lottery for some but Moyes is certain to have told his players the best way to deal with the trip to the other side of the world - and the nine-hour time difference.
They will need to have paid attention too - the first training session is later on on Saturday.
We took the chance to get out and about in Sydney, and visit some of the major landmarks - most notably the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
The weather was cold and the sky grey - which had our cameraman and photographer moaning - but we nevertheless captured plenty of images of these famous constructions. It's important that we have this footage to enhance the quality of our output across a whole range of platforms, including the website, evertontv and the Evertonian.
We also spotted an Everton jersey and managed to travel down the Cahill Expressway (if you're wondering, it's not actually named after Tim).
Our talismanic midfielder is BIG over here, and we've already seen him in a high profile TV ad campaign for an energy drink and a breakfast cereal.
The Toffees' tour is making waves too, with an advert for the games against Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane also shown on TV.
As soon as the players arrive we'll be bringing you all the best photos, news and interviews but until then check out our sights of Sydney video to the right or check the image gallery.

Joshua LawTotally agree with you Daniel, I have been searching for the same info but for the Brisbane leg. So pumped for this and want to make the most of it I'm taking time off work and traveling north from around Byron a few days prior. Just want a chance to see the boys up close and watching them train would be amazing! Timmy please make an appearance in Brisbane too, I know you have had an extremely long season but a couple more days would be great. Getting so excited! COYB
