Our first full day in Seattle and there was no easing-in period for the players.

After an impromptu guided bus tour from the local driver and his on-board PA system, they were thrust straight back into some pretty exhausting looking running during the early training session.

This was particularly bad news for Jack Rodwell, Steven Pienaar, Joseph Yobo and Yakubu, who were all down for extra running whilst the rest of the squad were allowed a sight of the ball in the second part of the session.

But every player seemed delighted to be back amongst friends and teammates - with Yobo high-fiving everyone in sight after the workout.

Taking advantage of Yobo's good mood, we did a quick interview for evertonTV which is available to view now.

Also at the end of the session, fitness coach Dave Billows unveiled what most would describe as a paddling pool. Not so, he explained - this was a portable ice bath and it proved popular with the players.

Before the bus left there was also time to chat to Steve Round who coped admirably with some mid-interview interventions from Tim Cahill!

Then it was back to the hotel for lunch, where the Liverpool Echo had arrived to conduct a couple of interviews with the players.

And Cahill was at it again! While the Echo interviewed Leon Osman, the Aussie went to work on the reporter's lunch with a bottle of tabasco sauce!

That was far from the end of the laughs though, as evertonTV's evening interview with Rodwell was besieged by some of the Blues' young players.

Jose Baxter, James Wallace and James Vaughan did their best to put off their colleague - but Rodwell kept it together in the end. Look out for the interview on evertonTV soon.

That wasn't the end of it though - Baxter and Wallace insisted on interviewing eachother on some of the burning Everton issues!

This weekend's clash with River Plate is available to view LIVE on evertonTV.
