Day Three in St Andrews and another early start beckoned for what was to be another busy day.

We were greeted by a new face on arrival at the hotel this morning – Phil Jagielka. The first task of the day was to arrange an interview with Phil to get his thoughts on his move to Everton and it was mission accomplished when he agreed to do a short piece before the second training session of the day at 11am.

While the players set off on their jog at 8am, we got to work in our mini office set up in the hotel dining room.

However we were soon disturbed from our work when the lads came back from their run - the chief culprits being James McFadden and Leon Osman. The dynamic duo have taken a shine to the evertonTV equipment and decided to interview each other!

To be fair they were not too bad but they shouldn’t give up their day jobs!

Following the light hearted interruption, the serious interviewing began and Phil Jagielka completed his second evertonTV piece in 24 hours.

For the second day running the lads trained on the football pitch at the nearby St Leonards School. As ever evertonTV were on hand to get some shots of the new boy in action on his first day of training.

The filming nearly didn’t take place when Andy van der Meyde took out the camera and tripod with a loose shot on goal!

The afternoon was a productive affair with updating evertonfc.com with the latest news from St Andrews including the departure of Gary Naysmith to Sheffield United.

The evening was wrapped up with a live web chat with Alan Stubbs and Lee Carsley which was an entertaining affair to say the least. Indeed, the lads were still in front of the computer screen answering questions more than an hour after starting!
