View articlesThe transfer window closed last night and when you look at Everton's signings on paper, you have to say it's not bad going.
We've brought in a goalkeeper, a right back, two midfield players and a striker. The manager said he wanted to strengthen the squad and now he has done that.
There's no doubting Louis Saha is a quality player, he showed that at Fulham then at Manchester United. The key for him is to stay injury free and if he does that he will score goals for us.
I don't know a huge amount about Marouane Fellaini, but he was impressive against Liverpool recently. He's young and hopefully he has a great future here.
£15 million is a lot of money but it seems as if that is what you have to pay now. He certainly looks to have the physical presence to succeed in the Premier League.
Carlo Nash is an experienced goalkeeper and that makes him a decent understudy to Tim Howard. He did well at Stoke at the end of last season so there's no doubt he would be able to cope if called upon.
I'm sure the manager would have liked to bring the players in sooner to allow them to gel, but that's the way it can be sometimes.
They are all here now and we now have a bigger squad - one where you can look to the bench and say that it is a strong one.
