"We should definitely do an out-takes video one of these days."

So often is this phrase used by employees of evertonTV, it could almost be a motto.

Out-takes: the name we give to filming that’s ‘influenced’ by Everton's pranksters.

In fairness, the footage is as hilarious in hindsight as it’s frustrating at the time.

And to think evertonTV had forgotten how much hard work goes to waste on pre-season tours.

Last year, an entire interview with one player had to be scraped after two of his team-mates commandeered the evertonTV camera and set about creating their very own earthquake scene. Today has reminded us of that.

It was simply crafty curtain peeking from Lukas Jutkiewicz which cut short an exclusive chat with Dan Gosling. Half way through re-living his greatest moment - THAT goal against Liverpool - he lost it. Laughter ensued, take ruined. Same old story. Still just as frustrating. Still just as funny.

Next to be sabotaged was the Louis Saha webchat - yesterday's 'chatter' Leighton Baines and accomplice Leon Osman deciding they wanted in on the action. The answers were all Louis' in the end. Thankfully. The suggested responses were dubious to say the least!

But that wasn't the end of it. Three times our injury update with physio Matt Connery was disrupted - and again Osman was at the heart of it.

Giving young Jose Baxter a lesson in the art of subtlety, the restless midfielder burst through the door mid-question to enquire as to what we were up to. As if he didn't know.

Thankfully, evertonTV managed to recover enough professionalism to ensure all the above interviews were eventually completed in their entirety.
