YAK FEE AGREED

Everton can confirm that they have agreed a Club record transfer fee of £11.25 million with Middlesbrough for the transfer of Yakubu.

The Nigerian international centre-forward is now travelling to Merseyside for talks with The Toffees.

Yakubu figured in Boro’s opening two fixtures of the new season but was not part of Gareth Southgate’s squad that played Fulham at the weekend.

The striker is 24 years of age and joined the Riverside club in the summer of 2005 for £7.5m.
