WIN AT ALL COSTS

WIN AT ALL COSTS

David Moyes is prepared to win at all costs as the season enters the final furlong.

Moyes concedes that it's points not performances that count at this stage of proceedings.

And with a trip to relegation threatened Birmingham on Saturday, the Everton boss knows three points are vital.

"At this moment in time that is correct," he told evertonfc.com. "We have played some really, really good football this season and made big strides on how we want to play.

"I think that is why when you don't play so well you fee disappointed by it.

"I will take the points any-how at this moment in time. By hook or by crook, we have to win the games."

The boss rejected suggestions that Birmingham may be distracted by off-the-field activities occuring at the club this week, but did have praise for opposition manager Alex McLeish.

"I don't think the players and managers have anything to do with it," said Moyes. "We are not interested in what goes on. That is Birmingham's business.

"I like Alex a lot," he continued. "He is a good guy and a good manager. He did great with Scotland and I think he will be having a good look at the Premier League and seeing how hard it is and how difficult it is to win games.

"He will learn an awful lot from his first season. He is a clever man and he understands football so it won't shock him but he will be looking forward to getting to next season."
