TWENTE IN FOR BJARNI
FC Twente have swooped to sign Bjarni Vidarsson on loan.
The Dutch Eredivisie side have tied up a deal that will keep the Icelander in Holland until June 30.
Midfielder Vidarsson, now 19, has been at Everton since he was 16. His current deal with Everton runs out in the summer and the move to Holland could become permanent if he impresses for Twente.
He progressed through the Everton Academy ranks and became a reserve team regular before making his senior debut in Alkmaar in December.
Vidarsson has one international cap, having previously captained the Iceland Under-21 side.
He went on loan at a similar stage last season, playing six times and scoring once for Bournemouth.
Twente are currently riding high in the Dutch top division, having lost only twice in the league all season.
Andy van der Meyde spent a season on loan at Twente in the 1999-2000 campaign.
