TRIO CALLED UP

TRIO CALLED UP

Three Everton players have been called up by new Nigeria Coach Shaibu Amodu for their 2010 World Cup qualifying matches.

Joseph Yobo, Victor Anichebe and Yakubu have all been included in the squad for the games which take place in June.

Amodu is the new man in charge for the Super Eagles after replacing Berti Vogts earlier this month, and the inclusion of the Blues trio highlights the high regard in which the new boss holds Everton’s African stars.

Nigeria begin their 2010 World Cup qualifiers at home to South Africa on June 1 before playing Sierra Leone six days later.

The Super Eagles will then take on Equatorial Guinea on both June 14 and June 21.
