David Moyes hails the team performance against Fulham.
David Moyes has hailed the team performance during the 3-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday.
Hat-trick hero Yakubu is sure to grab the headlines but the Goodison chief is delighted with the form of all his squad.
The injury to Leighton Baines in the first half forced Moyes to reshuffle his pack but an assured second half display stretched the Blues’ unbeaten run to 10 games.
“This is what is happening with interviews – we are talking about all the players because they are all in top form,” Moyes exclusively told evertonTV.
“Leon Osman was excellent – second half especially. Lee Carsley has gone about his job quietly and efficiently.
“Cars is playing as well as he has since he has been here. A couple of seasons ago he was excellent and he has doing that just now.
Moyes also had a special word to say about midfielder Steven Pienaar.
“Steven Pienaar is a terrific player not just because of his skills and his ability on the ball but also because of his honesty and his work-rate,” he said.
“People saw that against Fulham when we were 3-0 up and he was still working as hard. His second half performance was excellent but in the first half we were all a little bit flat.
“I thought we certainly played well in the second half and deserved to win after our second half performance.”

Andy MacYakubu proving hi critics wrong... Another strong display, albeit in the second half. It's been impressive the last 5 years watching this team being built. Depite all the naysayers, and depression brigade, this team has gone from strength to strength. Player like Arteta, Cahill, the Yak, Anchovy, and now Pienaar, who we can steal for 2.5m, this is a team for the future, and they seem to only be getting better. Kudo to Moyes, the player, and the board... Keep up the good work!
