RUDDY'S WALSALL LOAN MOVE
League One side Walsall have signed young Everton goalkeeper John Ruddy on a month-long loan deal.
The teenage goalkeepr only joined the Blues earlier this year but manager David Moyes has sanctioned the move to further his footballing education.
Ruddy has been training with the first team since his arrival from Cambridge United and has been involved in the Blues' last three reserve games.
But Moyes has a policy of letting his young keepers play in the Football League and that has prompted his decision to let Ruddy go to the Bescot Stadium.
Walsall manager Paul Merson said: "He is a talented young lad who won't let us down. It's a weight off my mind to have him here because we have two tough games coming up in a short space of time.
"We need a big presence in goal and he will give us that. He is very highly-rated within the game and I am delighted to have him here initially for a month."
