Nuno Valente is set to feature for the reserves against Bolton.
Nuno Valente will make his first appearance of the season for Everton reserves this evening against Bolton Wanderers (Wednesday).
Andy Holden’s side take on The Trotters at the Lancashire FA in Leyland, kick-off 7pm, with Valente and Andy van der Meyde the most experienced players selected in the squad.
The Portuguese defender has made two senior appearances for the Blues this term, featuring against Sheffield Wednesday and Reading.
Valente will play in defence with Patrick Boyle, Shaun Densmore and John Irving with John Ruddy in goal.
Midfield will see Bjarni Vidarsson, John Paul Kissock and Ryan Harpur line up alongside Dutchman van der Meyde.
Elsewhere Lukas Jutkiewicz partners Aidan Downes, who scored on his Republic of Ireland under 21s debut against Sweden during the recent international break.
