RESERVES HELD BY LATE GOAL

Andy van der Meyde and Gary Naysmith built up their match sharpness with 90 minutes apiece for Everton reserves on Tuesday evening.

The senior duo were part of an otherwise young Toffees side that were held 1-1 by their north west rivals, with Scott Spencer notching for the Blues.

But Lewis Montrose headed a late equaliser for the Latics.
