Pressure On Everton?
Gareth Southgate says the pressure is on Everton on Sunday.
Southgate takes his Middlesbrough side into the FA Cup quarter final clash on the back of a 4-0 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur.
Boro are second bottom in the league but have fared much better in the cup, beating West Ham to reach this stage.
"It's a huge game for Everton," declared the former England international. "It's quite a while since they were in a cup final, so there's a fair bit of pressure on them and as the home team they will be totally expected to win.
"We've got a game on Sunday that everyone in the town should be looking forward to. We're rank underdogs but we've got a brilliant opportunity to get to an FA Cup semi-final."
With that in mind, Southgate vowed to use the heavy midweek defeat to Spurs as a motivational tool.
"Spurs was a big disappointment and we let the supporters down," he said.
"They want to bounce back and the cup is an opportunity to do that. That's how we've looked at it all season.
"The team will be strong and we will be doing everything we can to send the fans home happy," he added.
