Steven Pienaar could boost Everton's squad by returning to action in time for the Merseyside derby.
The midfielder is set to take part in training over the next few days following eight weeks out with a knee injury sustained at Portsmouth.
However David Moyes said Phil Neville and Leon Osman are unlikely to feature in the clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
“Steven is the only one who is near coming back. He will hopefully train this week and we’ll take it from there," said the Everton manager.
Following the 3-0 defeat at Manchester United on Saturday, the Blues boss wants his players to focus on the trip to Hull on Wednesday before they think about the derby.
The manager described the match at the KC Stadium as "massive" after the result at Old Trafford.
“It's important we pick ourselves up," said Moyes. "I've been here (Old Trafford) many times and lost with Everton but there have been a lot of games where I've thought we played really well and were unfortunate not to come away with something. But not on Saturday."

We need to start looking at a 442 formation, we were so much better in the 2nd half at old trafford lets hope we can capitalise on the kopites mis-fortunes(if you can call them that) we have one of the biggest injury lists in the league , yet not a lot is mentioned.. lets show the rest of the league how united we are 3 points from Hull and 3 points from the Kopites, get us closer to the top and give the likes of City spurs and Villa some food for thought
Agree with Mark?
