Osman's Wembley Goal
Leon hoping to continue his goalscoring heroics into the FA Cup final.
Leon Osman wants to continue his goalscoring heroics into the FA Cup final.
The midfielder tuned up for Saturday's showpiece by netting two excellent goals in the 2-0 win at Fulham.
Now Wembley awaits and the Everton Academy graduate hopes he has discovered the golden touch at a perfect time.
"To score once is amazing but to score twice is even better," he told evertonTV. "But it was about getting the victory today and securing the fifth place.
"Hopefully the chances of me scoring at Wembley are very good. I'll be trying as hard as I possibly can to score in an FA Cup final. Hopefully, I'll be selected and, hopefully, we can win."
Inevitably, attentions will quickly turn to the FA Cup final - though whatever the outcome at Wembley, Osman says Everton can look back on the campaign with pride.
"I think we've thoroughly deserved fifth place," he said. "We've had a long season, we've had a tough season and although it didn't start too well we deserve to finish fifth."
