Leon Osman admits he must be patient as he returns from a foot injury.
The midfielder is desperate to get back and help his teammates climb up the Premier League table.
But he's realising he must exercise caution and manage his comeback carefully.
"It's okay," Ossie told evertonTV. "It's slow progress and it's a bone injury and they don't heal like muscle injuries or bruises.
"They originally said (I would be out for) about four weeks and then a specialist said six weeks.
"I'm a week under that and I am finally starting to feel like I am making progress."
Osman explained that he's learnt from experience when it comes to looking after his body.
Nevertheless, the midfielder is still focussed on ensuring he maintains as much conditioning as possible whilst unable to play.
"I think that is half my problem with any injury!" he continued. "As soon as I feel a little bit better I think 'that's me, I'm fit' and then I can hurt myself and take a step back.
"That's something I need to learn about, letting injuries heal naturally over time.
"I can do bike work, weights with my foot off the floor and I can do swimming, so it's up to me to keep as much fitness as possible without doing any running," he added.

I agree with Malcom , when results aren't good you need players who are willing to work and work . With the derby coming up we need players who are going to put in a good hard shift for 90 minutes , COYB !!
