NEV'S TRANSFER CONFIDENCE
Phil Neville is confident of new arrivals at Everton.
The experienced Blues skipper reckons the transfer market will get going once the European Championships are concluded.
And he knows that bolstering the squad will be an important factor in mounting another challenge for a top four place next season.
Neville said: "With the European Championships, a lot of managers are out there looking at players.
"You will see in the next couple of weeks that once teams start going out of the championships you'll see the transfer market hotting up.
"I think a lot of teams have got money out there and a lot of teams want to do better this season than what they did last.
"It's up to us to keep improving and sign a few players to make sure we're still ahead of everybody else below us."
Everton were in a fight for fourth last season right up until March, and Neville is desperate to ensure the Toffees do even better this time around.
He added: "I think we owe it to everybody in the league to make sure the top four are consistently challenged because it would be a boring league if, every year, the same four teams finish in the top four.
"We did it three years ago and finished in a Champions League position in fourth place, so that's our aim this season."

Callum MurrayWe need a DM to replace super Lee Carsley and a player who has got a bit of flair. We should go in for players like arshavin and moutinho. I'm sure Moysey wont let us down!

Matt Taylorwhat we need is a playmaker to pass and create from a central midfield position. This stood out a mile last season and if we but a top drawer creative central midfielder we can progress significantly, without one we cannot do better than last season.

Nathan DentJust been watching Germany Vs Portugal 2008 and realised that Deco would make the perfect replacement for Lee Carsley, At £10m and willing to move why can't WE swipe him from under the nose of Chelski? In Moyse We Trust ;)

JQ ChangI do agree w some of u guys tat Moyes shd make a decision soon on who to buy. By the time July comes... he will b fighting w other clubs for the signatures of the shortlisted players - arshavin, huddlestone, m johnson etc. For me, it's a firm NO to sell A johnson n arteta. they r impt members. I hope Moyes can bring in moutinho, downing, huddlestone n m johnson. Probably $25 mil for all four? Not sure abt arshavin thou but he won't come cheap. at least $12 mil? More if he performs well at Euro08. Pls make a quick decision soon... not worth to pay for inflation due to Euro08 or tug-of-war w other clubs...

keith sharplesDavey has made more good signings than bad and will pay the price if he thinks it is worth it, and also if he thinks the team will benefit. Any signing is a gamble no matter how good the player is, injury's, outside influences and settling in the area play apart. Trust in Moyesy to come good, he'll pick a gem from somewhere COYB.

Andrew BallingallI dont know what this guy is talkin about because Lucas Podolski would cost a lot more than that. But we're starting to look at the right quality of player, less tom Huddlestone, more David Bentley and Juao Moutinho

James WilkinsonWe need to sign players but we need to sign quality players, we need to sign joao moutinho, this guy is quality and he can pass, also the young english men like tom huddlestone who would be a good replacement for carsley and michael johnson and manny fernandes. We need to sign at least two out of this group. In Moyes we TRUST!

Jamie HarrisWe will only challenge the top 4 if we make some good signings without spending big. Like Cahill, Arteta & Lescott. We should try and sign that Moutinho he sounds like the ideal replacement to Carsley. But I'd rather keep Arteta. Don't sign Bentley he's not worth £12 million, trust Moyes to get the Decent players. COYB. In Moyes We Trust!

Toby HewsonThere's lots of talk about a Manny deal being wrapped up and I hope it is - he's got bags of talent now and the potential to turn world class soon - if only Moyesey can sort out his passing. There is no way someone of his ability should give possession away as often as he does.

Michael KehoeGood to see players talking about the confidence, I know a lot of us are worrying we're not gonna get anyone in & seeing Spurs strengthen makes it even more important we do, David Bentley seems a great target and i'd love to see us get Moutinho but he'll probs be priced out of our reach. We do need a few players and I trust Moyes to get them

Brian ForanSpot on but we need Davey to sign to as he is our future,With him and 3-4 good quailty players with a few more bodies in we'll be Top 4 for sure. Our big problem last season was the lack of bodies at the business end of the season In Moyes we trust COYB
